Best way to skip school in the Port Headland area. Avgas is better than normal unleaded petrol to sniff, and the police don't knock on the plane door if you miss school for the week
There's no trolley returns in the car parks and no trolleys to get your bags to the terminal. The doors are too small for someone carrying bags to fit through. The baggage coming off the planes is usually slow and it's also too small for the number of flights it does. The boarding area is usually full with people having to stand.
A small regional airport catering for a comparatively large volume of passengers at peak times. The facilities have recently had a small renovated and include a single baggage carousel, vending machines, check in desks for Virgin/Qantas group, toilets and showers landslide, Qantas regional lounge, security screening, airside cafe serving basic meals/coffee/alcoholic beverages, rental car desks, atms, a helipad and three 'gates' where you need to walk on the tarmac. 20min free parking and free luggage trolleys are highlights.
Good set up here, can handle a good capacity.
Awesome place. Spent 2 moths there back in '03. Great people who run it. It's nice and warm and just awesome. I recommend it.
